Joseph Trahan of Picayune, Mississippi passed away Monday, March 16, 2020 at the age of 79.
Joseph was born March 25, 1940 in Louisiana and was a resident of Picayune, Mississippi since 1982. He was a Jockey for over twenty years, winning races from the West coast to the East coast. He retired from Chevron after several years as a seismic worker. He loved old cars, cruising the coast and tinkering on his corvette. Joseph enjoyed siting on the porch bird watching, fishing, gardening and loved his dog Buster. He will be deeply missed by many.
He is Survived by his wife of forty-one years, Mary Trahan of Picayune, Mississippi; one son, Michael Jay Trahan (Tanya Elizabeth Breaux) of Louisiana; sister, Lorraine Trahan David of Picayune, Mississippi; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two nieces, Stephanie Dartes and Paula Conners.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Zannie Joeseph Trahan and Rita Tallie Trahan; daughter, Billie Joe Trahan Courville; brother, Hillyan Trahan; sister, Betty Jean Lantier.
Graveside Service will be held 3:00 p.m. Tuesday March 17, 2020 at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
