Joyce Anne Cantrell

Joyce Ann Becnel Cantrell, age 92, of Picayune, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 19, 2024. Mass will be held in Joyce’s honor on Friday, September 20th 9:00AM at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 27074 St. Matthew Catholic Church Rd., Perkingston, MS 29573. Mass will conclude with a light brunch in the church hall. Joyce was known for her incredible cooking and her unwavering dedication to her family and friends. She was the glue that held our family together. Born on November 19, 1931, Joyce was a beacon of love and warmth. Her kitchen was always filled with the aroma of home-cooked meals, and she took great joy in feeding her family with her amazing culinary creations. Her dishes were more than just food; they were expressions of her love and care. Family was everything to Joyce. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who never missed an opportunity to support and nurture her loved ones. Her home was a sanctuary where everyone felt welcome and cherished. In addition to her family, Joyce was an amazing friend. Her kindness, generosity, and sense of humor made her a treasured companion to many. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene S. Cantrell; her son, Larry G. Cantrell; and her daughter, Patricia C. Blanchard. Left to cherish her memory are her three grandchildren, Angel C. Ricca, April L. del Carpio (Jonathan), Steven K. Blanchard; five great grandchildren Brielle E. Ricca, Triston K. Varnado, Gracie M. Ricca, Bailey A. Wellmeier, Ryan G. Wellmeier; and her great granddog Beaux.
