Joyce A Krantz (née Tomczak) passed away in her home on May 15, 2020 in McNeill, MS due to complications following cancer. She was 81.
Ms. Krantz was born on August 27, 1938 in New Orleans, LA to her parents, Sigmund and Ethel Tomczak. She married Arthur Krantz, Jr. in 1954. Joyce lived most of her life in New Orleans, LA here she operated a seafood market, Joyce's Seafood on Haynes Boulevard. Following Hurricane Katrina, she moved to Carriere, MS in 2005 and dedicated her remaining time to attending church, spending time with her great grandchildren, and caring for her pets including her devoted dog, Baby Girl, who remained at her side until the end.
Joyce is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Alan Luc of Carriere, MS; her son, Arthur Krantz, III.; her brother, Tommy Tomczak; her grandchildren Misty Luc-Anderson (Daniel), Jesse Luc (Amanda), and Arthur Krantz, IV; two great grandchildren, Drake and Anna Luc and her aunt, Jewel Cunningham of Slidell, LA. She is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur; her three daughters (deceased at birth), and her brothers John (Johnny) W. Parker and Vincent Tomczak.
Joyce will be cremated and a private ceremony to be held at a later date for immediate family.
