Justin Leland Brockhaus of Carriere, Mississippi passed away Sunday, December 1, 2019 at the age of 17.
Justin was born in Picayune, Mississippi and attended Resurrection of Life Worship Center. He was a full of life teenager who enjoyed playing basketball, hanging out with his many friends, listening to rap music and playing video games. Justin had a very giving and caring soul and a comical side that would always bring a smile and laugh to everyone around.
He is survived by his parents, Jonathan L. Brockhaus, Sr. (Norma Rocha) of Picayune, Mississippi and Judy Forsythe Da Cruz (Elias) of Metairie, Louisiana; grandparents, Suzanne Brooks, Neil May, and Judy Valleck; one brother, Jonathan L. Brockhaus, Jr., of Picayune, Mississippi; one sister, Jade Brockhaus of Metairie, Louisiana; and one niece, Lily Anne Brockhaus of Picayune, Mississippi.
He is preceded in death by stepbrother, Edgar Ponce.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 10, 2019, 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. at Resurrection Life Worship Center. His Service will begin at 3:00 p.m. with Alan Hickman officiating. Burial will follow at New Palestine Cemetery.
The family would like to thank everyone who prayed for Justin at the time of the accident and throughout his hospital stay.
