Linda Lynette Jackson

January 20, 1947 — February 2, 2023

Linda Jackson of Picayune, MS (formerly of Jefferson Parish), departed this world in the arms of her Heavenly Father on Thursday, February 2, 2023.



Linda was born January 20, 1947 in Lubbock, Texas.



She is preceded in death by her parents Melvin and Ida Teague; and two brothers, Hugh Earl Young and Joe Lee Young.



She was married to her husband, Rick Jackson for 58 wonderful years; She was mother to one daughter, Sherri Dawna Jackson; Grandmother to three grandchildren, Rachel Lynette (Jason) Faulk, Robert Logan Granberry, James Benjamin Granberry; and Great Grandmother to Evelyn Astrid Faulk.



Linda started her career as a Medical Office Assistant in 1972. In the course of her career she had two kidney transplants, one in 1989 and the second to replace that one in 1999. She became an active member of LA ESRD (End Stage Renal Disease). She served as the Louisiana representative to the National ESRD. She was a contributor to the LA ESRD newsletter and wrote many articles. She retired as Assistant Director of Phlebotomy at LSU Medical Center in 2007.



Linda was a beautiful Lady with a servant's heart. She was always ready to help anyone God sent her way and took joy in telling them about all of the wonderful things God had done in her life. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.



Private services are planned for the family at a later date.
