Louis Glenn Morris

June 28, 1939 — February 11, 2018

Louis Glenn Morris died peacefully after a long and brave fight with leukemia at Slidell Memorial Hospital on February 11, 2018 in Slidell, LA at the age of 78.

Glenn is survived by his wife of 58 years, Wanda Boyd Morris of Perkinston, MS; and, children: Sandra Morris Zitterkopf (Mark Zitterkopf) of Kiln, MS; Timothy Glenn Morris (Stephanie Morris) of Ponchatoula, LA; Jennifer Morris Firle (Greg Firle) of Waveland, MS; and Melissa Morris Shaw (Brad Shaw) of Sterrett, AL.; And grandchildren: Dorian Wright (Brandon Wright) of Diamondhead, MS; Brandy McKay (Gus McKay) of Franklinton, LA; Brittany Tillman (Orrin Marino) of Ponchatoula, LA; Gregory Morris of Ponchatoula, LA; Taylor Landers of Auburn, AL; Kala Shaw (Michael Mims) of Sterrett, AL; J.T. Landers of Sylacauga, AL; Kaci Shaw of Sterrett, AL; Halee Morris of Ponchatoula, LA; and Trevor Morris of Waveland, MS.; And great grandchildren: Carter Tillman of Ponchatoula, LA; Presley McKay of Franklinton, LA; Jaxon Wright of Diamondhead, MS; and Sawyer Tillman of Ponchatoula, LA; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Mid and Minnie Morris of Sylacauga, AL; his sister: Geraldine Pugh of Sylacauga, AL; his brother: Evan Morris of Sylacauga, AL; and his great granddaughter: Ella Grace Tillman of Ponchatoula, LA.

Glenn was born on June 28, 1939 in Sylacauga, AL to Mid and Minnie Morris. He graduated from Sylacauga High School in 1957. Glenn was a generous and dedicated individual who loved his family and who was passionate about Alabama Crimson Tide football. He was an active and dedicated member of the Lee's Chapel #2.

A funeral is scheduled for Saturday, February 17, 2018, with family viewing from 10 - 10:30am, and general viewing and service from 10:30am - 12:00pm at Lee's Chapel #2 at 27015 Leetown Road Picayune, MS 39466, with a reception to follow. Pastor Jarred Lee will officiate the ceremony, and Pastor Willie Tebo will also say a few words. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Glenn's life.
