Margaret Adams Pharr

Margaret Adams Pharr of Picayune, Mississippi passed away on Monday, May 16, 2022, at the age of 77.
Margaret graduated Young Harris College in North Georgia and employed with Stennis Space Center for over thirty years. She was a published author sand technical writer. She received the Silver Snoopy Award for Technical Excellence in support of a maned space flight. Margaret was also a long-time resident of the Picayune area and an active member of Picayune on Stage. She will be missed by many.
She is survived by her children, Eugene Houser Pharr Jr, (Jennifer Pharr), Charles Edward Pharr (Greta Pharr), Margaret Cecile (Cissie) Pharr Legendre (Jacques Legendre), and Sally Elizabeth (Betsy) Pharr Malone (Scott Malone); grandchildren: Eugene (Gene) Houser Pharr III (Cali Pharr), Michael Joseph Pharr, Lauren Ockman Murphy (Brandon Murphy), Jordan Kathryn Pharr Kellar (Jonathan Kellar), Betty Jo Pharr Poret (Ryan Poret),James Patterson Pharr, Mackenzie Claire Pharr, Bryan Nicholas Legendre (Samantha Legendre), Maegan Brianna Legendre Dantin (Nick Dantin), Cameron Tyler Legendre, Taryn Elizabeth Monroe, William (Will) Jefferson Hamilton, Matthew (Matt) Stuart Hamilton, Gavin Scott Malone, and Connor Keith Malone; great-grandchildren: Jackson David Legendre, Carter Joseph Pharr, Maisy Claire Murphy, Branson Wayne Murphy, Eliijah (Eli) Kylen Pharr, Bjorn Eugene Pharr, Emersyn Grace Legendre, and Sydney Kate Kellar.
She is preceded by her parents, Janie Margrett Lindley Adams and Emmett Womack Adams; brother, Emmett Lindley Adams; former husband, Eugene Houser Pharr Sr; and great-grandchild, Elle Aurora Pharr.
Visitation will be held 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. Saturday May 21, 2022, at Picayune Funeral Home with Service to begin at 4:00 p.m. officiated by Rev. Brad St. Romain.
Arrangements are under the direction of Picayune Funeral Home.
