Mark Freeman Sr.

Mark Freeman Sr., a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on March 9, 2025, in Picayune, Mississippi, at the age of 64. Born on September 20, 1960, in Spring Hill, Louisiana, Mark dedicated his life to his career as a Construction Superintendent offshore, where he was known for his strong work ethic and his commitment to quality workmanship.

Mark's warm spirit and love for life were evident in his many interests. He enjoyed the nostalgic sounds of 70s music, relished barbequing for family gatherings, and had a particular fondness for westerns that spoke to his adventurous nature. These hobbies not only brought him joy but also provided cherished moments for his family and friends.

In his personal life, Mark found profound happiness in his marriage to Alice Freeman. Celebrating nine years together, their bond was a testament to love and partnership. He was a proud father to three children: Mark Freeman Jr. (Nicole), Jason Freeman, and Dayna Molina, and stepfather to Shawn Martin (Lindsay) and Amanda Jackson (Leslie). His legacy extends to his 12 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins who each held a special place in his heart.

Mark also shared a close relationship with his mother, Margaret, and his brothers Kurt Freeman (Kathy) and Barry Freeman. He will be remembered for the joy he brought to those around him and for the love he generously gave.

He was predeceased by his father, who he carries in loving memory.

Visitation services will take place at Picayune Funeral Home in Picayune, Mississippi. Family and friends may gather to pay their respects on March 13, 2025, from noon until 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service beginning at 2:00 PM.

Mark Freeman Sr. will be deeply missed by all who knew him, remembered not only for his professional accomplishments but, more importantly, for the love he cultivated within his family and community.
