Marvin Leon Sampson

Marvin Leon Sampson of Picayune, Mississippi passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at the age of 82.

Visitation will be 6:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. on Friday, March 8, 2019 at Picayune Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2019 in the Picayune Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Norris officiating. Burial will be in Gipson Cemetery.

Marvin was a lifelong resident of Picayune, Mississippi and a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church.

He is survived by his children, Richard "Rickey" L. Sampson of Picayune, Mississippi; Sebrinia Lee of Carriere, Mississippi; and Theresia Madere of Picayune, Mississippi; his brother, James Sampson of Picayune, Mississippi; six grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; five step-grandchildren, ten step-great-grandchildren and two step-great-great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Chancey Sampson and Maude Mason Sampson; and his sister, Mary Virginia Mitchell.
