Mary Miller Sones

Mary Miller Sones, age 95, of Carriere, Mississippi, passed away Monday, February 18, 2013 at her residence.
Visitation will be held Friday, February 22, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Picayune Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Picayune Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. RT Buckley and Bro. Jim Watson officiating. Burial will be at New Palestine Cemetery.
Mrs. Sones was a resident of Pearl River County for eighty-two years, a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Picayune.
She is survived by two sons, Donald Sones of Blue Ridge, Georgia and James Sones of Carriere; two daughters, Kaye Palmer of Carriere and Barbara Hall of Belle Vue, Washington; one sister, Alice Polk of Picayune; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; and fourteen great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Elizabeth Miller; husband, Edward C. Sones; daughter, Ann Lee; brothers, Virgil Miller and Mahlon Miller; sister, Effie Miller; and grandson, John Palmer, Jr.
