Maximo Nieves, age 85, of Picayune, MS passed away Monday, October 24, 2011 at his residence.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Picayune Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Picayune Funeral Home with Father Mike Snyder officiating. Entombment will be at Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
Maximo loved to play his guitar and harmonica, was a resident of Picayune for thirty years and a Catholic.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Carmen Nieves of Picayune, Mississippi; one son, Michael Nieves, Jr. of Picayune, Mississippi; three daughters, Carmen Spears of Picayune, Mississippi, Margaret Campbell of Cape Coral, Florida and Yolanda Loveless of Destrahan, Louisiana; two brothers, Demetrio Nieves of Avondale, Louisiana and Juan Nieves of Westwego, Louisiana; one sister Patricia Santiago of Abita Springs, Louisiana; twelve grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents Demetrio Nieves and Donagoya Garcia Nieves.
