Merton Addison Lawrence

Merton Addison Lawrence (87) of Picayune passed away at his home on Sunday December 3, 2023.

Merton has been a resident of Picayune for 30 plus years. He was of the protestant faith and a member of Christian Life Assembly of God. In his spare time, Mr. Lawrence loved spending time with his grandkids, reading the Bible, and doing crossword and sudoku puzzles.

Left to cherish his memories is his son, John Lawrence; daughters, Joyce Peshek, Marilyn Adams, Cindy Wadel, Lynn Etherton, Margaret Lee, and Carol Gonzales; and sisters, Lorna Lawrence and Norma Castine.

He is preceded by his parents Merton and Lillian Lawrence; wife, Florence Lawrence; sons, Stanley Lawrence, Kirt Lawrence, Michael Ratcliffe, and Norman Ratcliffe; daughter JoAnne Brumley; and brothers, Lyle Lawrence and Frank Lawrence.
