Michael Ross Bounds

Mr. Michael Ross Bounds, 65, of Picayune, MS, passed away on June 19, 2023.

Michael Ross Bounds will always be remembered as a loving Husband, Father, and Grandfather. He was a man who devoted his life to family by making time for family events and creating memories with his children and grandchildren. Christmas was his favorite holiday, he loved when the whole family would gather for that one special day together. His greatest joy was being apart of his church as a devoted member and song leader. His hobbies were all about sports and coin collecting. He would passionately talk about these things with anyone who would listen. Mike you taught your children and grandchildren to be strong individuals and to never give up on their dreams. Even though you’re gone we know your love will continue to live on in our hearts forever.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William Fred “Freddie” Bounds Jr., Lou Ola Gray Bounds; siblings, Paula Inela Bounds Bennett, Don Calvin “Porky” Bounds, and Taryn Anne Bounds .

Survivors include his wife, Kathy Ann Martinez Bounds; two children, Christopher Michael Bounds, Casey Jill Bounds; four grandchildren: Mariah Rochelle Bounds, Rayna Mary Wright, Chrystian Shae Bounds, Brian Austin Bounds; one brother William Scott (Sue) Bounds.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Salem Landmark Missionary Baptist Church (1 Salem Church Road, Picayune, MS, 39466) on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at 11:00 am. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, Saturday at the church.
