Michael Wayne Mitchell, Sr., age 65 of Picayune, Mississippi, passed away Sunday, April 28, 2013.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, May 2, 2013 at New Palestine Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. under the direction of Picayune Funeral Home with Bro. Charles Rester officiating.
Michael was a life time resident of Pearl River County, a truck driver and a member of White Sand Apostle Church.
He is survived by his wife Margie Mitchell of Picayune; sons, Michael Mitchell, Jr. of Picayune, Billy W. Mitchell of Picayune, Emmanuel Mitchell of Louisiana, Jerry Mitchell of Leetown, Glen Mitchell of Picayune, Bingley Mitchell Carriere; daughters, Susan Powe of Picayune, Patricia Parker of Carriere and Mary Harris of Poplarville; brothers, Henry Mitchell of Picayune and Shorty Mitchell of Carriere; sister, Linda Faye Lee of Kiln; thirty-two grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Carrie Mitchell; and sister Ruby Ryans.
