Michael Wayne Mitchell

Michael Wayne Mitchell of Picayune, Mississippi died on January 5, 2023 at the age of 51. He was born January 22, 1971 to Gloria Faye Rice and Michael Preston Mitchell. He was a loving father, husband, brother, son, and friend.



Michael is survived by his daughters, Tori Mitchell and Tarin Westfall; his wife, Michelle Mitchell; his brother, Beau Harris; his aunt, Kay Deshotel (Steve); his cousin, Christie Deshotel Hinton; his stepchildren, Cody Famularo and Kayla Pinson (Christopher); and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.



Michael is preceded in death by his father, Michael Preston Mitchell; his mother, Gloria Faye Rice; and his grandmother, Mildred Grantham.



Michael was a skilled mechanic, welder, and knew a little about a lot. He was always willing to help those in need and went out of his way to help his friends and family in any way that he could. He enjoyed listening and singing along to Hank Williams, Jr. songs. He adored his daughters more than anything else in the world. He brought laughter and friendship everywhere he went. He will be deeply missed by all of his family, friends, and all who knew him.



Memorial services will be held at First Pentecostal Church (123 Kendrick Lane, Picayune, MS, 39466) on Sunday, January 22, 2023 at 5:00 pm.
