Michael Wayne Sorrells

Michael Wayne Sorrells, 60, of Slidell, LA, passed away Thursday, September 24, 2015 at Slidell Memorial Hospital, surrounded by family.
Michael was born in Sardis, MS, on July 11, 1955, to Thomas and Sarah (Hill) Sorrells. He graduated from Picayune Memorial High School in 1973 and later graduated from the Electrician program at Pearl River Junior College in 1975. Michael worked for NASA Computer Complex in Slidell. He loved fishing, skiing, swimming, and spending time with his family.
Michael is survived by his mother, Sarah Sorrells Force, of Slidell, LA; his sister, Brenda Sorrells, of Slidell, LA; his brother, Thomas Sorrells, Jr, of Biloxi, MS; his brother, Donald (Penny) Sorrells, of Slidell, LA; and his many loving nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, Thomas Sorrells; and his sister, Sandy Oglesbee.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Picayune Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at Picayune Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Arlis Grice officiating. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Michael's life.
