Milton Singleton, Sr. was born on September 27, 1922. He was a lifelong resident of Bay St. Louis, MS. He left this earth to claim his reward in heaven on Sunday, September 2, 2012, at the age of 89.
He was a devoted member of St. Rosa De Lima Church and a member of the Knights of Peter Claver for 71 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Moses and Gertrude (Vivian) Singleton, one son, Bruce Singleton, one granddaughter Shonetta Singleton, one sister Josie Watkins, five brothers, Moses Singleton, Jr., Marion Singleton, Monroe Singleton, Maurice Singleton and Maxine Singleton.
He leaves to celebrate his life, his wife of 64 years, Eunice Singleton; four children, Gilda Hays of Pass Christian, MS, Milton (Vonda) Singleton, Jr. of Detroit, MI, John (Sandra) Singleton, Sr. of Pass Christian, MS, Vanessa (Ilos) Ducksworth of Bay St. Louis, MS, a daughter-in-law, Joyce Singleton of California, a sister Mildred (Dr. Edward) Cooper of California, a brother Marcel Singleton of Bay St. Louis, MS, 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends.
Visitation will be held Saturday, September 8, 2012 at St. Rosa De Lima Church. Viewing and Rosary will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m.
