Newton DeKalb Staples, age 55, of Picayune passed away Saturday, October 2, 2010 at Covenant Health & Rehab.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 8th at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Nicholson, with Bro. R. T. Buckley officiating.
Newton was a resident of Picayune and worked as a fence man.
He is survived by his mother, Jeraline Smith Pauley of Picayune;two sons, Kody deBoxtel of Nicholson and Allen Henley of Pearl River, LA;one daughter, Cassidy Staples of Nicholson;four brothers, Jacob Staples of Slidell, LA, Robert Staples of Picayune, James Adcox, Jr. of Picayune and Edward Staples of Picayune;one sister, Martha Pearson of Picayune ;four grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father, Fredrick A. Staples; brother, Charles Staples.
