Norvell P. Smith Jr.

Mr. Norvell Plunkett Smith Jr, age 88, passed away on November 7, 2024.

Norvell Jr. was born in Picayune, MS to Norvell Smith Sr. and Georgia Bea Smith. A lifelong resident of Picayune, Norvell enjoyed campers, boats, and the outdoors with Spring being his favorite season. He was entertained by anything cowboy including square dancing.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Debra (Debi) and Thomas Salazar; cousin Darlene Jenkins; 5 grandchildren, Julia Jones, Dennis Dickerson Smith, Christopher Smith, Nicole Smith and Alicia Smith; and 5 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by Norvell Smith Sr.(Father), Georgia Bea Smith (Mother), Dennis Smith (Son), Bersey Smith (Brother), Roy Smith (Brother), Bobby Smith (Brother), Ella Faye Page (Sister), Mary Walters (Sister), Dana Diane Blinkerhoff (Grandchild).

Graveside services for Mr. Norvell Smith Jr. will be held on Monday, November 11, 2024, at 1:00pm at Henleyfield Cemetery with Jeremy Newman officiating.
