Ola Rae Moree

August 18, 1921 — March 25, 2014

Ola Rae Dillard Moree, age 92, of Picayune, Mississippi passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2014.

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 27, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Picayune Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 28, 2014 at 10:00 p.m. at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church with Bro. Wayne Rice officiating. Burial will be at New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of Picayune Funeral Home.

Mrs. Moree was a lifetime resident of Pearl River County and a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and sang in the choir. She was involved in the WMA, TOPS Club, and Silver Needle Quilting Club. She was a receptionist for many years for Dr. Bolton and also worked at Gibson's Pharmacy.

She is survived by one daughter, Charlotte Earlynn (James) Canedy of Carriere; one sister, Bonnie Dillard of Texas; five grandchildren, James Rodney Canedy, Jr., Meghan Lewis, Dana Davis, Robert Marble and Nicolle Artalona; twelve great-grandchildren, Christopher Artalona, Austin Canedy, Dylan Canedy, Madison Davis, Shelbie Gardner, Ava Lewis, Jacob Lewis, Brandon Marble, Nicholas Mable, Billy Tucker, Tiffany Tucker, and Cade Westbrook; several great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents Elbert and Rosa Dillard; husband, Earl Z. Moree; son, Ronald Moree; daughter, Wanda Moree Patch; sisters, Lola Mae Kemp, Myrtle Ruth Frierson and Dorothy "Dot" Frierson.
