Oliver Wendell Smith, age 68, of Picayune, MS passed away Sunday, August, 12, 2012 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 15, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Picayune Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, August 16, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Picayune Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Lavell Lee officiating. Burial will be at Breland Cemetery in Carriere.
Wendell was a life time resident of Hancock County, a truck driver and a member of Lee's Chapel #2 Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Smith of Picayune; Sisters, Geraldine Spiers of Carriere and Janice Stockstill of Columbia.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ford Smith and Emma Oesby Smith Beal; Two brothers, Floyd Smith and Leodis Smith; Four sisters, Lucenia Neal, Dorothy Mitchell, Louvenia Stockstill and Lourenia Lee.
