Patricia Ann Ward Cooper

Memorial Services for Patricia Ann Ward Cooper, age 81, of Picayune, MS, who departed this life into God’s presence Friday, April 5, 2024, will be held Friday, April 12, 2024, with a visitation from 10:00 am to 11:00 am followed by a service at Union Baptist Church, 1628 West Union Rd, Picayune, MS 39466.

A native of Petal, MS, Pat moved to Picayune in 1963 where she and former spouse Gary Cooper raised their family. She was a member of Union Baptist Church, where she was a cherished member of the choir. Pat had a passion for music and loved singing southern gospel with her friends. She touched numerous lives through her songs and love for Jesus. Pat was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas J. Ward and beloved mother, Gracie Ward.

Left to cherish her memory are her adoring children, Marlinda Guerra (Alfred), Melody White, and Gary Cooper II (Faith); 9 grandchildren, Trey Guerra (Kayla), Tracie Sowels (Jamie), Brooke Varnado (Corey), Katie Johnson (Sean), Dylan Guerra, Blake White (Nikki), Kenneth Houck (Amber), Kevin Houck (Amanda), Cassie Kreyssig (Jason); 19 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; her loving sister TJ Shelbourn and numerous nieces and nephews
