Pete Lopez Galvan (92) of Picayune, Mississippi went into eternal rest peacefully on Sunday September 29, 2024 surrounded by his devoted daughter, Yolanda Galvan.
Born on April 29, 1932, in Port Isabel, Texas, to Manuel Galvan Sr. and Maria Elena Lopez.
Pete was a proud veteran known for his sharp intellect, quick wit, and vibrant spirit. He dedicated his life to serving others and had a passion for country and Spanish music, reading, and supporting various charitable organizations. He pursued education in the electrical and air conditioning fields, working for many years as a geographical engineer.
A loving son, husband, father, and grandfather, Pete's warmth, humor, and kindness will be deeply missed.
He leaves behind cherished memories with his daughter, Yolanda Galvan; son, Peter R. Galvan; brothers, Israel Galvan and Eduardo Galvan; and grandchildren Thomas B. Morgan (Lilian), Courtney E. Morgan, Allie E. Galvan, and numerous nieces and nephews .
A Private Graveside Service will be held in Pete's honor.
