Q.C. Smith of the Henleyfield Community passed away on Friday, March 29, 2019 at the age of 95.
Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at Picayune Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the Picayune Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Vernon Watts officiating. Burial will be at First Baptist Church of Henleyfield Cemetery.
He was a lifelong resident of Pearl River County, a veteran of the United States Navy, retired truck driver and of the Methodist faith.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Smith of Carriere, Mississippi; two sons, Michael Smith (Linda) and Dudley Smith (Gaye) both of Carriere, Mississippi; one daughter, Judy Hespen (Steve) of Carriere, Mississippi; grandchildren, Chad Smith (Sarah), Whitney Caves (Will), Kayla Smith, Hunter Hespen and Haley Hespen; great-grandchildren, Cody, Morgan, Konnor, Marlee, Lily and Finley.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Oscar Smith and Amelia Mitchell Smith; his sisters, Vondell Burks, Edith Boone and Blanche Ferguson; and his brothers, Clinton Smith and Delbert Smith
