Ricky Luis Pequeno JR. was born in Atlanta, Georgia on May 9,1987. Ricky passed away peacefully in his home in Picayune, MS on November 3, 2022.

Ricky was a loving Son, Uncle, Nephew, Cousin and a firm believer in Jesus Christ. His Faith was deeply rooted through Bethany Church out of Baton Rouge, LA. Ricky attended church at The Life Church in Picayune, MS.
Ricky attended Slidell High School. He joined the United States Army in July 2007 and attended Basic Training at Fort Benning, GA. He attended Advanced Individual Training at Fort Gordon, GA as a communication specialist. Ricky excelled in the military receiving Soldier of The Month twice and was recognized by the Battalion Command Sergeant Major several times. Ricky's duty stations included South Korea and Fort Polk.
Ricky's passion was the love of his dogs Saint and Gypsy, sports, and family. He was not much on small talk, but had a keen eye for genuine people. His ability to navigate technology was something he prided himself on and which many family members relied on for his expertise. His unfaltering love for his mother and father was prevalent in his day to day life. He was always going above and beyond what was expected of him as this is how he expressed his love for them both.

Survivors include his mother and father Carol Pequeno and Rick Pequeno; Grandmother Natalia Pequeno, his nephew Elliott Joseph Slaughter (Dooda), many uncles, aunts and cousins.

Ricky was Preceded in death by his Sister, Crystal Raines Slaughter, Grandfathers, John Kelly and Leandro Pequeno, and countless loved ones.


A Graveside Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 10, 2022 at Reed-Raines Memorial Cemetery 27091 LA 40, Folsom, LA 70437
