Richard Hartwell Lumpkin

Richard Hartwell Lumpkin, age 66, of Carriere passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 22nd at 1:00 p.m. at Carriere First Baptist Church, with Bro. William Gary Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Carriere Cemetery.
Visitation will be at Carriere First Baptist Church from 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 21st through the time of service on Friday, January 22nd.
Richard, a life-long resident of Pearl River County, was a baker and a member of Carriere First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Vicknair Lumpkin of Carriere ;three sons, Richard J. Lumpkin of Picayune ,Randy Lumpkin of Picayune and Mark Lumpkin of Carriere ;seven daughters, Susan Lumpkin of Picayune,Jo Ann Lumpkin of Picayune ,Brenda Lumpkin of Picayune ,Lisa Copling of Picayune ,Brandi Copling of Carriere ,Amy Lumpkin of Picayune and Wendy Jones of Gulf Coast; five sisters, Sylvia Digiovanni of Picayune, Ruby (John) West of McNeill ,Shirley Barber of McNeill, Dorothy Creel and Deborah Cochran; thirteen grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ranel Ellis Lumpkin and Vivian Asher Lumpkin; a son, Richard H. Lumpkin, Jr. ;a daughter, Wanda "Winkie" Coleman.
