Richard Leon Sampson I, born on January 23, 1970, in Picayune, Mississippi, passed away peacefully in his hometown on April 23, 2025. A cherished member of his community and a loving family man, Richard leaves behind a legacy enriched by his passions for cooking and mechanic work.
Throughout his life, Richard exhibited an unwavering dedication to his family. He is survived by his son, Richard Leon Sampson II, daughter-in-law, Kailey, and sister Theresia Madere. His loving spirit will continue to resonate through his grandchildren: Brentley, Faylynn, Beaux, Leland, Luke, Annabella, and Alex, along with his step-grandchildren ShiShi, Sarah, and many others. He also took pride in his role as an uncle and great-uncle, with numerous nieces and nephews, including Sharrona, April, Wendy, Joel, Lance, Dusty, and great-nephews Garren, Hernesto, and Chance.
Richard is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Imogen Sampson, and his parents, Marvin Sampson and Sarah Herring. He also mourns the loss of his sister, Sebrinia Lee.
Richard's life was marked by his profound love for family and his commitment to his interests. He will be remembered fondly by those who had the privilege to know him. His warmth, kindness, and dedication to his craft will remain in the hearts of family and friends forever.
