Robert Calvin "Pete" Carter, Sr. of Picayune, Mississippi passed away Sunday, February 23, 2020 at the age of 84.
Pete was a lifelong resident of Picayune, Mississippi and a veteran of the US Army. He enjoyed watching westerns, fishing and camping. He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.
He is survived by three daughters, Angela Deboxtel (Henry) of Picayune, Mississippi, Belinda Mitchell (Thomas) of Picayune, Mississippi, and Sandra Sartalamacchia (Ronnie) of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi; one brother, Zeno "Webb" Carter (Patricia); two sisters, Helen Hughes and Janice Sylvest (Larry); Grandchildren, Robert Carter III (Tonya), Nikki Pell (Paul), John R. Carter (Chandra), Ashley Barnes (Terrence), Brandi Casey (Jennie), Rusty Carter (Jenny), Michael Lang (Desiree), Hannah Cliff (Joey); twenty great grandchildren; one great great-grandchild.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Sherry Lumpkin Carter; parents, Zeno Carterr and Flora Miller Carter; son, Robert C. Carter, Jr; brother, Joe Carter; sisters, Eunice Carter and Mildred Dillard.
A Graveside Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 27, 2020 at Burgetown Cemetery.
