Robert Joseph Laviolette

Robert Joseph Laviolette, Jr., age 79, of Carriere, Mississippi passed away Saturday, June 29, 2013 at his residence.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 3, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Picayune Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Picayune Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Robert was a resident of Pearl River County since 1994 and a Veteran of U.S. Air Force. He was retired from the New Orleans Police Department, Louisiana Alcohol Beverage Control and Mississippi Department of Motor Vehicles. He was an avid square dancer and enjoyed golfing. His favorite past time was to spend time with his four legged kids.
He is survived by his wife Jeanette Laviolette of Carriere,; three sons, Robert Joseph Laviolette, III of Avondale, Louisiana, Nathan Paul Laviolette of Marrero, Louisiana and Roger Patrick Laviolette of Avondale, Louisiana; one daughter, Karen Laviolette Landry of Harahan, Louisiana; one step-daughter, Rhonda Plucienski of Slidell, Louisiana; two brothers Raymond Laviolette, Sr. of Laplace, Louisiana; Erwin Laviolette of Slidell, Louisiana; three sisters, Hazel Dealy of Slidell, Louisiana, Rita Pitre of Slidell, Louisiana and Mary Kirkland of Tickfaw, Louisiana; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Genevive Laviolette, Sr.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Pearl River County SPCA 1700 Palestine Road, Picayune, Mississippi 39466.
