Ronald Gerald Coate, Sr., age 76, of Picayune, Mississippi passed away Friday, February 17, 2017.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 22, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Picayune Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Picayune Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Dale Clabaugh officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Picayune Funeral Home.
Mr. Coate worked for Jefferson Parish Sheriff Department, and was of the Catholic faith.
He is survived by one son, Ronald (Enelda) Coate, Jr. of Houma, Louisiana; two daughters, Lori (Kirby) Wuertz of River Ride, Louisiana, and Kim (Gayle) Coate of Carriere; two brothers, Norma Coate, Jr. of Picayune, and Allen Coate of Louisiana; one sister, Catherine Coate of Florida; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents Norman and LeDonia Coate; and his wife Mary Lue Coate.
