Ronald Gale Gries, born May 14, 1944 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, age 69, of Picayune, Mississippi passed away Monday, April 28, 2014.
The family is holding a private service at a later date.
Mr. Gries was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy, an avid fisherman, and a member of the National Rifle Association and Ducks Unlimited.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Maxine Gries of Picayune, Mississippi; sons, Russell Gries of Bothell, Washington, Raymond Gries of Bothell, Washington, Michael Gries of Picayune, Mississippi and Christopher Gries of Edmonds, Washington; daughters, Cheri Gries of Seattle, Washington and Mary Pytel of Seattle Washington; brothers, Richard Gries of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Ron Paulson of Little Rock, Arkansas, Roy Gries of Sioux Falls, South Dakota and Robert Gries of Omaha, Nebraska; sisters, Marlys Buchhiem of South Dakota and Mary Prince of Colton, South Dakota; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild; step-mother, Joyce Gries of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents Anton and Margaret Gries; and son, David Gries.
