Ronald Earl "Tank" Jones, age 48, of Picayune, MS passed away Thursday, February 9, 2012 at Joseph M. Still Burn Center in Augusta, Georgia.
Visitation will be Monday, February 13, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Picayune Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at Pine Grove Baptist Church with Bro. Richard Smith, Bro. Robert Osborne and Bro. Tim Mims officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery.
Tank lived a simple life and believed in helping others. He was hard working, responsible and easy going. He never met a stranger and was known by many.
Tank set traditions for his sons to follow. He was a leader, had strong beliefs and stood up for what he believed in. He was set in his ways and you could not change him. He made many sacrifices for his family. He enjoyed life and loved to hunt, ride four wheelers and motorcycles with his family, but did not like the beach. His family has many memories of the spontaneous trips they took together. He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend and will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his mother, Elberta S. Jones of Picayune; His wife Thressa Guchereau Jones of Picayune; Six sons, Brandon Jones of Picayune, Paul Guchereau of Picayune, Bradley Jones of Picayune, Bryan Guchereau of Picayune, Austin Jones of Picayune and Mark Guchereau of Picayune; Two sisters, Carol Rankin of Mendenhall and Andrea "Angie" Jones of Picayune; Thirteen grandchildren; Two nieces and one great-niece.
He is preceded in death by his father, John Denver Jones.
