Samuel Guy Verret, Jr., age 71, of Picayune passed Away Thursday, January 17, 2008 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, January 22nd at 11:00 AM at Picayune Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Gary Killen officiating. Visitation will be at Picayune Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until time of service. Burial will follow at New Palestine Cemetery.
Samuel, a native of New Orleans, was a self-employed truck driver and of the Baptist faith. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife of forty-four years, Pamela Verret of Picayune; two sons, Samuel Verret, III of Florida and Shane Verret of Virginia; daughter, Deirdre Griffith of Texas; brother, Frank Walter West of Picayune; two sisters, Gayle Boudreaux of New Orleans and Audrey Thomassie of Gulfport; twelve grandchildren, Angele Darcey, Paulette Dunn, Heather Seville, James White, Joseph Adams, Cassandra Verret, Christopher Verret, Shane Verret, Jr., Timothy White, Paige Verret, Cheyenne Taylor and Amanda Verret; and three great grandchildren, Jersilynn Harvie, Joshua Harvie and Jade Harvie.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Guy Verret, Sr. and Antonette Centanni Verret; two sons, Kenneth Paul Verret and Frank Walter Verret; and grandson, Kenneth Verret, Jr.
