Sarah Triplett Hill

Sarah Triplett Hill, 87, died peacefully Saturday morning, April 2, 2016 at Haven Hospice in Palatka, Florida. Sarah was born on December 14, 1928 in Flora, Mississippi to Kirk and Bessie Triplett. She graduated from Mississippi College with a Bachelor's Degree in Education. On January 24, 1950 she married John Prentice Hill and spent many years with her husband in Caesar, Mississippi where she taught school. For the last 6 years she lived in Palatka, Florida with her son.
Sarah was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 54 years; a brother, Charlie Triplett, and sister, Alice Banes. She is survived by a daughter, Rebecca Drouilhet and her husband, Michael; a son, J. Keith Hill and his wife, Marsha; seven grandchildren, Christopher Drouilhet and wife, Anne; Nicholas Drouilhet and wife, Allison; Chase Drouilhet; Michael Drouilhet and wife, Natalie; David Hill and wife, Chelsea; Kellen Hill; and Natalie Dixon and husband, Lonnie; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Lawrence and Irene Brown; a brother, Kirk Triplett; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Tuesday evening, April 5, from 6:00-8:00 pm at Picayune Funeral Home and Funeral Services will be held Wednesday morning, April 6, at 10:00 am at Union Baptist Church, Caesar, Mississippi, with Brother Brian Tatum officiating.
