STEPHEN AUGUST BARRIOS, passed away on May 16, 2021, at the age of 67.
Predeceased by his wife, Terri Revon Barrios; son, Nicholas Paul Barrios; father, August Barrios, Jr.; and his mother, Roselyn Martin Barrios.
Survived by his children, Jeffrey Michael Barrios, Harrand F. "Trae" Broussard III (Jennifer), and Michele Broussard Johnston (Joe); brother, Daniel Barrios (Carol); nieces, Rachel Barrios and Alicia Mahaffey (David).
Perhaps Steve's greatest passion was his grandchildren, Jordan, Olivia, and Tristan. Great joy was brought to bear by those youngsters and their whimsical ways. Steve had a compassionate soul filled with love and joy, but was also a fierce advocate of all things, personal and professional toward which his moral compass pointed. Steve will be missed by many and loved in perpetuity, by all those whom he touched.
Steve was an accomplished accounting professional, a 1975 graduate of University of New Orleans and a Certified Public Accountant. Steve was a stalwart proponent for those less fortunate and gave willfully of his life's experience and philanthropy to those most in need.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 12:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m. Saturday June 19, 2021, at St. Angela Merici Church, 901 Beverly Garden Drive, Metairie, Louisiana 70002. In lieu of flowers or other memorials, donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, are the wishes of the family.
