Susan Ann Frierson

Susan Ann Frierson, a cherished mother, devoted wife, and beloved member of her community, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2025, at the age of 64. Born on November 3, 1960, in Galliano, Louisiana, Susan's vibrant spirit and warmth filled the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know her.

As a stay-at-home mom, Susan dedicated herself wholeheartedly to her family. For 31 wonderful years, she shared her life with her loving husband, Russell Frierson. Together, they built a home filled with laughter, love, and a celebration of life's simple joys. Susan's nurturing spirit extended beyond her immediate family; her legacy is reflected in the countless knitted blankets she crafted for nursing homes and babies, each stitch imbued with her care and compassion.

Throughout her life, Susan embraced her interests with enthusiasm. She found immense joy in cooking, especially seafood, harkening back to her childhood where catching blue crabs and oysters formed the backdrop of her cherished memories. Fishing was not just a pastime for her; it was a connection to nature and to the happy moments spent by the water with family.

Susan is survived by her adoring husband, Russell Frierson, alongside their children, each of whom carries forward her spirit and values. Their sons, John Guidry Jr. (Britanee), Russell Frierson Jr. (Christine), and Shane Frierson (Alta), and daughters, Melanie Powell (Matthew), Dina Fore (Timmy), Stacy Parker, and Stephanie Michelle Frierson, are a testament to her enduring love. Susan's heart expanded with joy through the blessings of her 

27 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and the anticipation of one great-great-grandchild on the way.

She is also remembered fondly by her brothers, who hold on to the cherished memories of their time together. Susan was preceded in death by her father, Bebe Toups, and her mother, Shirley Cheramie, as well as two sisters, who welcomed her with open arms in the embrace of eternity.

Susan Ann Frierson’s life was not measured by years alone but by the love she shared and the lives she touched. Her legacy will continue to inspire those who gather in her memory, reminding them to cherish their loved ones, embrace their passions, and celebrate every moment together.
