Susan Elizabeth LaFond Lewis, of Picayune Mississippi passed away Monday, September 23, 2019 at the age of 76 after a long courageous battle with cancer.
Susan was born in Holyoke, Massachusetts and lived in Picayune, Mississippi the last several years. She was a respiratory therapist and enjoyed her job. She was an inspiration and was able to spread her knowledge of life to many. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend.
She is survived by her son, Dave Lewis (Kim); brothers , Peter LaFond (Charlotte), Gene Hendrix; Grandchildren, Mandi Lee (Donald), Tiffany Cheek (Lucas), Sarah Ruiz (Cody), Nick Ruiz, Lauren Lewis, Cooper Lewis; great grandchildren, Hunter Lee, Paisley Cheek, Aiden Lee, Lainey Cheek.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Philip B. LaFond and Leona Hull LaFond; daughter, Nicole "Nikki" Ruiz; brothers, Bruce LaFond, Philip Lafond; sister, Phyllis LaFond.
A Celebration of Life will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 19th, 2019 at Benville Missionary Baptist Church
