TERRI REVON BARRIOS, on July 27, 2015, at age 65, after a courageous battle with squamous cell carcinoma. Predeceased by her Mother, Jeannette Sannino Revon, and her stepson, Nicholas Paul Barrios. Survived by her spouse of 28 years, Stephen, and her children Harrand F. (Trae) Broussard III (Jennifer), Michele Broussard Toups, and her stepson Jeffrey Barrios; sisters Shirley Geraci, Marliene Salvaggio (Philip), and numerous nieces, nephews, and their children.
Perhaps Terri's greatest passion was her grandchildren Jordan, Olivia, and Tristan. Great joy was brought to bear by those youngsters, and their whimsical ways. Terri had a compassionate soul, filed with love and joy, but was also a fierce advocate of all things, personal and professional, toward which her moral compass pointed. Terri will be missed by many, and loved, in perpetuity, by all those whom she touched.
Terri's embrace of the culture of New Orleans was perhaps best illustrated by her love of Mardi Gras. She was a charter member, officer and board member of the Krewe of Selene. She truly enjoyed the social interaction with other Krewe members, but particularly with the crowds in attendance each year during the parade.
Terri was an accomplished real estate professional, and for more than ten years managed two downtown high-rise office buildings. Terri attained her professional credentials as a Certified Property Manager, and was an active member of the Institute of Real Estate Management. Terri was a stalwart proponent for those less fortunate, and gave willfully of her life's experience, and philanthropy, to those most in need. For many years, Terri was the chairperson of IREM's annual charity golf tournament. Over the years many thousands of dollars were raised for charity, primarily Special Olympics. Terri often quipped that the smiles of those participating in the competition could not be measured in dollars, but rather only in the hugs and innocence of true happiness.
