Theresa "Esa" Lynn Benitez Burgess of Sumrall, Mississippi unexpectedly passed away on Tuesday September 6, 2022, at the age of 34.
Theresa was a native of Metairie, Louisiana born on July 31st 1988. Graduated from Bonnabel High School in 2007 and resided in Mississippi for the last ten years. Theresa loved animals and watching a variety of tv shows. She enjoyed music and was a beautiful singer. Many people that have come into contact with Theresa will always recall her infectious smile and laughter. Theresa was a very sweet and kindhearted person with a pure soul. She will be deeply missed by many.
She is survived by her loving partner of twenty years, Thomas Burgess; sisters, Taylor and Kylee Russell including their children. Harlie, Ryan Jr, and Levi Landauer as well as
Avery Morris, along with her daughter Chloe Schreiber; stepfather, Scott Russell; mother and father-in-law, Susan Burgess and Calvin Verdun. As well as many more family and friends.
She is preceded in heaven by her mother, Shelly Cathalougne-Rockvoan as well as her great great-grandmother, Terry Gaspard.
Visitation will be held 2:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. Monday September 19, 2022, at Picayune Funeral Home. Services to begin at 3:00 p.m. Per the family, feel free to bring any flowers, donations, as well as memorial pieces upon attendance.
Arrangements are under the direction of Picayune Funeral Home.
