Thomas Leslie Heaps, 89, of Picayune, MS entered eternal life on March 8, 2023. Beloved husband of Joan. Cherished father of Graham, Andrew, and the late Stephen. Loved son of the late Martin Lawrence and Lily May. Admired brother of Bernard, Margaret (Peggy), the late Brian, and the late Eileen. Proud grandfather of three grandchildren and one great grandchild. Born June 15, 1933 in Preston, England. He was a retired electrical engineer, and veteran of the Royal Air Force.
Les enjoyed traveling with his family crossing either Canada or the United States each year camping at national parks. He was an avid square dancer and square dance caller while living in Canada for over twenty years before moving to the United States.
To honor the memory of Les, a celebration of life will be held at a future date.
In remembrance of Les’ life, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to the National Kidney Foundation, or St. Jude Children’s Hospital in place of sending flowers.
