Van Arnold Casanova, age 81, of Picayune, Mississippi passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2014.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 30, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Picayune Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 12:30 p.m. at New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of Picayune Funeral Home with Bro. R.T. Buckley and Bro. Christopher Macedo officiating.
Mr. Casanova was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy and a lifetime resident of Picayune.
He is survived by his mother, Winnie A. Thigpen Casanova, wife of 61 years, Joyce Casanova of Picayune; son, Phillip Arnold Casanova of Vacaville, California; daughters, Cynthia Diane Macedo and husband Rich of Tennessee, Cathrine Elizabeth Lopez and husband Rory of Brownsmills, New Jersey, and Cheryl Lorraine Casanova and husband Fernando of Vacaville, California; grandchildren, Vanessa, Christopher, Aaron, Jessica, Tara, Erica, and Jake; and great-grandchildren, John, Kayla, Kiya, Caden, John, Logan, Grayson, Jocelyn, Elaina, and Celeste.
He is preceded in death by his father, Seab Britt Casanova; siblings, Robert, Bo, and Verna Lee.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Leukemia Foundation or the Kidney Foundation.
