Virgin Ann Vicknair, 86, of Chalmette, LA, passed away peacefully at her family's home on Monday, August 1, 2023.
Virgin was not only a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend; she was also the sweetest soul you could ever meet. She was quite simple to make happy. To know her was to love her. She would spend her day ringing everyone’s phone to check in and see how they were doing. She was the glue that kept the family together. She would absolutely do anything for the ones she loved. She especially loved spoiling her grandkids and her great grandkids. We all love the way she would pronounce the word sink as “zink” and oil as “earl”; and how photogenic she was. She was an all around fun and easy person to be around, and she will be missed so much! Until we meet again, we’ll remember all the good times. We love you!
Mrs. Vicknair is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Mabel Louque; her husband, Dennis Vicknair, Jr.; two children, Robert Joseph Vicknair, Sr., Michael John Vicknair; and two siblings, Raymond Louque and Carlos Louque.
She is survived by three children; and a host of extended family and friends.
Memorial services will be held at Picayune Funeral Home (815 South Haugh Avenue, Picayune, MS, 39466) on Friday, August 11, 2023 at 7:00 pm. Visitation one hour prior to the service.
