Virginia Eleanor Coppola Ogden (86) of Picayune, MS went into eternal rest on Saturday February 1, 2025.
Virginia was born in New Orleans on December 4, 1938 to parents Vincent and Eleanor Coppola. She spent many years as a professional seamstress and was the Queen of Carnival. She enjoyed crochet, spent many years in competitive dance, and loved to travel the world on her own. Virginia was a people person, and it is said she never met a stranger. She adored her family and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Virginia is preceded in death by her first husband Roy Savoie, second husband Irvin Ogden, father Vincent Coppola, mother Eleanor Coppola, sisters Margaret Patterson, Edna Williams, and daughter in law Betty Savoie.
Virginia's memory will be cherished by her sons Wayne Savoie, Vincent Savoie (Rani), Mark Savoie (Tina), Robert Ogden (Christy), grandchildren Elizabeth, Becky, Sophia, Jacob, Roy, Ryan, Ross, and great-grandchildren Jarrett, Lexi, Maddelyn, Oakley, Regan, Dillon, Peyton, and Baylor.
A visitation will be held on on Thursday February 6, 2025 for 11AM, Funeral to follow at 1PM at Picayune Funeral Home located at 815 S. Haugh Ave. Picayune, MS 39466
Burial will follow at Lake Lawn Park located at 5454 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124
