Vondel Spiers Bowden

Vondel Spiers Bowden, age 71, of Carriere, Mississippi, passed away Monday, January 14, 2013 at her residence.
A graveside service will be held at Holliman Cemetery on January 15, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. with Bro. Randal Childs officiating under the direction of Picayune Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bowden was a lifetime resident of Pearl River County, a homemaker and a Baptist.
She is survived by her dear companion, Jerry Mitchell; four sons, Steven Bowden of North Carolina and Royce Bowden, Jr. of Starkville, Deward Patrick Diez of Carriere and Curtis Allen Diez of Carriere; two brothers Deward "Buddy" Spiers of Carriere and William Edgar Spiers of Carriere; five grandsons, two granddaughters and one great-grandson.
She is preceded in death by her parents Deward and Mary Spiers; her husband, Royce Bowden, Sr.; two brothers, Lemuel Spiers and Paul Spiers; and one sister Paulette Rivero.
