Wesley L. Watkins

Wesley L. Watkins (71) of Picayune, Mississippi went into eternal rest on Sunday January 12, 2025.
Wesley was born in Picayune on August 18, 1953, to father Lonnie Winston Watkins, and mother Luvenia Carroll Watkins. He was a loving son, husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed spending his time fishing, racing cars in his younger days, and spectating classic cars. Wesley was married to the love of his life Marie Watkins and they spent 44 wonderful years together. He also spent many years in the National Guard, and proudly owned Wesley’s Auto Glass on Canal.

He is preceded in death by his father Lonnie Watkins, mother Luvenia Watkins, sisters Patricia Calloway, Debra Davis, Diane Powell, Dorothy Manburg, brothers Lonnie Watkins Jr., Howard Watkins, Glen Watkins, Cecil Watkins, and Gordon Watkins.

Wesley’s memory will be cherished by his loving wife Marie Watkins, sons Tyler Watkins, Jonathan Strickland (Heather), daughter Kimberly Huggins (James), brother Tommy Watkins (Mary), grandchildren Destiney, Lillian, Hayleigh, Kinley, Joshua, Ryan, and great-grandchild Chloe.

A visitation for Wesley will be held on Friday January 17, 2025 from 12PM-2PM with a Funeral Service to Follow at 2PM at Picayune Funeral Home located at 815 S. Haugh Ave. Picayune, MS 39466

Burial to follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
