William A. "Bill" Marshall, 82, died April 4, 2019 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
He is survived by his wife, Charlee Marshall of Picayune, Mississippi.; sons, William Marshall and Jay Marshall of Huntsville, Alabama., Michael Marshall of Picayune, Mississippi and Matthew Marshall of Carriere, Mississippi; daughters, Victoria Erwin of Huntsville, Alabama and Kathleen Lea and Kimberley Pecou of Crystal Springs, Mississippi; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by a son, Neal Newby.
Born in Kentucky, he was the son of the late Anna Mae and William Andrew Marshall, the brother of Judith Sheppard of Norwood, Ohio, and uncle to four nieces.
Bill served proudly in the U. S. Marine Corp. He was formerly Manufacturing Engineering Manager at Mason Chamberlain Inc. and retired from Kaiser Aluminum Greenwood Forge in Greenwood, S.C.
Affectionately known in the Henleyfield community as "Coach", he was active in youth baseball while his sons participated in the sport. He also rooted for them on the basketball court and on the football field.
The family is planning a celebration of his life May 19, 2019 in Guntersville, Alabama.
