Wilma Nida Spiers

Wilma Nida Wheat Spiers a resident of Bay St. Louis, MS passed away on November 1, 2024 at the Bedford Care Center.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Randal Spiers, her son, William Thomas Spiers. and her grandson, Devan Spiers.

She is survived by her sons, Henry Randal (Darlene) Spiers, Picayune, MS, Jeremy Todd Spiers, Nicholson, MS, Lee (Sara) Spiers of Bay St. Louis, MS., her daughter in-law Shannon Spiers, her sisters, Mary Ellen Wheat, Picayune, Jeannie Carapetian, Diamondhead, and Jessica Killen, Port Charlotte, FL. She leaves behind eight grandchildren, Aaron, Kecia, Devan, Brennin, Allie, Alexis, Layken and Mason and four great grandchildren, Harbor, Brixtyn, Korrey, and Kennedy.

Wilma was a graduate of University of Southern MS with her BS in Elementary Education and her Masters from William Carey University. She taught many years at Southside Elem. in Picayune and later at Bay Elementary in Bay St. Louis. After retirement, she spent time working in her garden and fishing. Funeral services will be held at Picayune Funeral Home on Friday November 8, 2024.

Visitation will be from 9AM until 11AM. Services will be at 11AM.

Burial will be at New Palestine Cemetery in Picayune, MS.
